MLM: Modern day Slavery?

My article about Multi-level marketing (MLM) was published in Berita Harian on 15 February 2014. I am compelled to write the commentary from the point of view of someone who was almost ‘conned’ into the MLM business. I notice that many Malays are doing MLM business, and I do not want to see my Malay community fall prey to such scams guised as an “entrepreneurial opportunity”.

Although many people said that the article was enlightening, there are some (I suppose most of them are in the MLM business) who criticised and defended the MLM. I even put the references on my FB so that the sceptics can learn more. Alas, it's not the eyes that are blind but the heart.
