My K-Drama List (2025) - Part 5

I managed to squeeze in a few Korean movies during my flights to Europe and the United Arab Emirates.

18. Dark Nuns 검은 수녀들 - Before this, I watched some scenes from Guardian: The Great and Lonely God. Yes, the whole series are in the Korean section. Aigoo Kim Sun! Anyway, Song Hye Kyo as the chain-smoking 'rebel' Sister Junia is Wicked.

19. Miracles in Cell No. 7  7번방의 선물 - I am glad to be able to watch this film about a mentally handicapped father who was falsely accused of a crime and sent to prison. Injustice, father's love for his daughter, crime, brotherhood and miracle. And of course, I cried.

20. Streaming  스트리밍 - Cos Kang Ha-Neul (Player 388 of Squid Game) acted as the popular online streamer who profiled crime cases and tries to resolved them.

21. Beast Clawing at Straws 지푸라기라도 잡고 싶은 짐승들 (unfinished) - I have always wanted to watch this movie. Unfortunately, I found this late in the inflight movie selection list. I only finished watching it halfway... hais.

22. Good News 굿뉴스 - This is a satirical geopolitical thriller about a secret operation to land a hijacked plane in 1970.  The Air Force First Lieutenant (Hong Kyung) reminded me of a young Gong Yoo.

23. Beautiful Gong Shim 미녀 공심이 (ongoing) - Romantic comedy is not my cup-of-Korean tea but I was curious coz Min Namkoong (the GM of Dreams in Hot Stove League) is the lead actor who is a lawyer. Watched until episode 4 coz... (read next posting!)
