My K-Drama List (2026) - Part 3

I had a K-drama moment at our museum recently. And for the first time in a long, long while, my heart fluttered. Is there a continuation to that K-drama moment? Will the feelings be reciprocated? Will either throw caution to the wind? Will won't-you-learn-from-experience-Me suffer in silence and ignore the feelings? Only time will tell...

Until then, here are the other K-drama that are unveiling on my screen:

11. Nothing Serious 연애 빠진 로맨스 - I was contemplating susbcribing to HBO Max so that I can watch Yumi Cells 3... then I saw this film. Since it's a film, less commitment so why not, right? It features my favourite Mr Gu (My Liberation Notes) and Tokyo (from Money Heist Korea). The single Woo-Ri (Son Suk-Ku) who writes a sex column meets Ja-Young (Jun Jong-Seo) who doesn't want to date anymore on the Love Bridge app. Woo-Ri uses their sexual liaisons as content for his column which reaches 700,000 viewership. Interestingly, this film won the Best Screenplay in the  2022 (58th) BaekSang Arts Awards. hmm...

12. Yumi Cells 3 유미의 세포들 시즌 3 -Should I even? Well... OK, I guess, I signed up for HBO Max (with VIU) just to watch this. I'm so lame. My army surgeon from Trauma Code better be worth it for Yumi. OK... I binged watched Yumi Cells 3 in one night. I feel that the love story was a little rushed. But then again, when you are sure, you are sure., right? Since I am also a publisher and writer, I can totally identify with the storyline. Though, I wished that I have a writing studio as nice as Yumi's. Anyway, I love Yumi's wedding dress, simple and elegant. I prefer Yumi to be with Woong, alas... what do I know about love and destiny? My Love cell though has been awaken from its long slumber, is being instructed to go hide somewhere while my Writer cell becomes my Prime Cell. Looks like it will stay that way for a while... sigh.

13. S Line S라인 - Finally, since I got VIU now, I am able to watch the rest of the five episodes. I like this series, though the premise is about sexual encounters (sex lines), the story tackles social issues like abandonment, school bullying, harrassment and blackmail, loneliness, fitting into social norms, suicide etc.
