My K-Drama List (2026) - Part 4
14. The King's Warden 왕과 사는 남자 - I was encouraged to watch this film by Soon Poh, fellow Cantabrigian and sister Guide at our May Day lunch. I was moved by the story and good acting. Yoo Ji Tae (my favourite professor in Money Heist Korea) was great as a villain. The young King Danjong was played by Park Ji-Hoon (he won the Best New Actor for his role) and Yu Hae-Jin rightfully earned that Daesang for his superb acting (talent over look reigns).
15. The Legend of Kitchen Soldier 취사병 전설이 되다 (ongoing) - Cos of Park Ji-Hoon (King Danjong) who played the titular soldier. Well, I have a thing for men in uniform and since I avoid watching love stories in K-dramas, I prefer watching comedy, crimes, police, legal and medical dramas. I like how this drama included a game-like hologram "Cook's path" that appeared in front of soldier Seong-Jae. This helped him improve his cooking.
16. The Scarecrow 허수아비 (ongoing) - I love crime investigation series and since Park Hae-soo (Berlin in Money Heist Korea) acted in this, I started watching this series which is heavily inspired by the Hwaseong serial murders. Interesting!
