My K-Drama List (2026) - Part 4

I was down with a 'bad case of loving you', not! But cold, cough and sore throat. Nasty, nasty bug that lasted for more than two weeks. While recovering, I managed to watch The Magic Faraway Tree (my favourite book from my Enid Blyton era) and guess what? I fell asleep midway until the ending. Quelle horreur! I guess I was still recovering from fatigue and illness. And I watched Michael. Amazing man and performer! But since this post is about Korean dramas and films...

14. The King's Warden 왕과 사는 남자 - I was encouraged to watch this film by Soon Poh, fellow Cantabrigian and sister Guide at our May Day lunch. I was moved by the story and good acting. Yoo Ji Tae (my favourite professor in Money Heist Korea) was great as a villain. The young King Danjong was played by Park Ji-Hoon (he won the Best New Actor for his role) and Yu Hae-Jin rightfully earned that Daesang for his superb acting (talent over look reigns).

15. The Legend of Kitchen Soldier 취사병 전설이 되다 (ongoing) - Cos of Park Ji-Hoon (King Danjong) who played the titular soldier. Well, I have a thing for men in uniform and since I avoid watching love stories in K-dramas, I prefer watching comedy, crimes, police, legal and medical dramas. I like how this drama included a game-like hologram "Cook's path" that appeared in front of soldier Seong-Jae. This helped him improve his cooking.

16. The Judge Returns 판사 이한영 - should I since I now have HBO Max?
