Niagara Falls

Oui, Ivania (Mexican Fulbrighter whom I knew from Sciences-po days), Apeckchya (Nepali UN intern) and I survived the long trip to Buffalo (Beau: Beautiful, l'Eau: Water) & Canadian border enduring a Chinese speaking tour guide and an extremely rude bus driver. What a weird but hilarious weekend! The highlight of the trip was the boat ride that took us very close to the waterfalls. God's creations are indeed fascinating!
It was also nice meeting people in the bus such as Sandeep, Azhar's Deloitte 'twin' (so surreal, from the way he laughed to similar academic qualifications) & Shishir, jovial Chicago financial consultant.
Watch this space for more writings & pictures. But now, I must catch that F train to work! yawn...

are you actually refering to me? I am so honoured that there is someone out there who actually reminds you of me. How I wish there is someone here who could have the same resemblance as you that could hit me right on the face and make me regret for my rashness.

Did you get to see the falls from both the Canadian and the US side? It has a nicer view from the Canuck side because on the US side part of the falls collapsed so the horseshoe shape isn't complete.

I am envious of your experience. I was there in 2001. But I didn't get to go on the boatride ... Maid O' the Mist or something to that effect... since my sister and family preferred to sit under a tree and take in the fresh air :p I couldn't join the queue and keep them waiting. C'est la vie .. next trip up I will go...

Hi Nadahati

Thanks for your comments. You're quite the world traveller yourself too! :) Anyway, We should meet up and swap stories over teh tarik & mutton chop at Jalan Kayu! Yumm.... ahh... this makes me miss home...

Hi Hidayah

It's been a while since I've had the time to check out you blogs. Always found them interesting.

I travel less now for some unknown reason. Hopefully will do more of it in the near future. I will be going up to Canada in a few months time so if you're in the neighbourhood before then, teh tarik on Jln Kayu should be good fun.

By the way, I think we have a common friend/acquaintance. Do your remember Shai, from one of your trips? She read in one of my blogs that I've admired your accomplishments and told me she knows you.
